Feb 14 Family Day at Qabana

This is the first time that we have celebrated Valentines day, we know of its pagan origin so we kinda skipped celebrating it yearly.  But this year was different, we had a family day at Qabana, becoming one of our favorite place to visit if we want to go swimming.

Pet Cemetery In the Philippines – Pet Valley Park

Ever wondered where to bury your pets when it’s time for them to go?

pet cemetery, pet burial, pet cremation, Philippines

Yeah, that day will be a very sad day for all pet lovers, as most of us consider our pets as one of the family, and sometimes even spoil them.

Have you consider where you’re gonna put yours once that day comes?  I have had a few pets that have died.. and they were all buried in the backyard of my in-laws, lucky for us they have a big backyard, but what if.. you have no backyard? no place to bury your pets..

If you are living here in the Philippines, and somewhere in the Metropolis or in the North, lucky for us there is a place called Pet Valley Cemetery.  Owner by Sir Manny Reyes, and is located at Silang Cavite.  I have visited this place once, and I can say that this is truly a resting place for our beloved pets once they passed away.

You can view Pet Valley Park and Crematory’s website here: http://petcremationburial.com/, there are lots of photos posted there.  And even more photos in their facebook fanpage, the link is below.

They also offer, pet cremation, and other stuff like souvenirs.  Now we can bury our pets the same way we bury people.. Doing something like this is more dignified I think.

Philippines Got the Miss World Crown!

Miss World Megan Young

Our very own Megan Young won Miss World 2013 last night, the 63rd annual event… Woohoo!  A big congratulations to you Megan.

“I promise to be the best Miss World ever,” Megan Young said after winning.

It was hubby who turned on TV and changed the channel to where the Miss World Competition is being shown, I didn’t even know it lol, so we watched till the end and was rooting for our very own.  We are proud of you Megan.

While watching the show there were 3 we noticed that almost got tripped.. luckily it was almost, phew, not that much to be embarrassed about.  With their high heeled shoes and long gowns, if one is not careful, one would fall.

127 contestants were vying for the crown.  And it was Megan who won, yey!  She looked so regal, the way she stands, her height… and smart too, she deserved the crown.  She’s only 23 years old.

This is the first Miss World crown for our country and I bet officials here are already preparing a grand welcome for Megan.

I remember her before, she auditioned for a talent search in GMA starstruck, she didn’t won but got a few shows, then she moved to another television station.  When she won the Miss World Philippines, I was actually glad for her and was really hoping she’d win in the world wide competition, and SHE DID!

Zdi’s 10th Bday at Qabana Resort

Happy B-day Zdi!

Seems to be lonely here, or scared? He’s on top of the slide… lol

My second son celebrated his 10th birthday last June 4,I was only able to find the time to blog and post the pics today :D.

So we went swimming again which is their all time favorite thing to do for celebrations.

We went Qabana Resort along Governor’s Drive in Dasmarinas Cavite. A few minutes away from Pala-Pala intersection. The place is easy to find because its just beside the high-way.

Entrance:
Php 130.00 adult
Php 90.00 – kids below 4 feet
Tables w/o umbrella – Php 100.00; w/ umbrella – Php 150.00
Cottages – Php 500.00
Parking – Free

What I like here is that it is very accessible.  We went there commuting only by jeep.  I also like the fact that I dont need to bring any food, just buy foods there, save me the hassle of cooking and carrying a lot of stuff.  Plus the entrance fee is affordable :).

The tables, cottages and stage

I also like the kiddie pool with the mushroom umbrella painted with disney characters.  My 4 year old loves it there, he’s not afraid to be by himself (of course he is being watched all the time), he sits, walks and swims by himself without being scared, unlike in some places we went too, where he always wants to be carried or someone holding him.

They have QTV’s, rooms to stay, a hall, 2 pools, for kids and an adult pool (4 ft) with a slide.  They also have a small stage.

The hall

They also have a mini restaurant there where you can order food (of course lol), mini bar too.

The minibar and food counter

Outside the resort, just beside it you can find 2 restaurants, food is easy to find here, so it’s ok if you dont bring any to save time and hassle. Just go there and buy cooked food.

Magdaragat (a place with many seafood restaurants) is also near it.

We would definitely go back here again, since my kids love swimming, we can just go here anytime we like.  No worries on food preparation.  We’ll just buy food there, there’s a sari-sari store also beside the place.  Can go there by jeep or by bus if commuting.

Oh.. and night swimming is also allowed here.  Has a WI-FI also.  I recommend this place.

Qabana Rating – 4 stars.

Kichiro’s 4th Bday at Veninna Resort
