We had another chance to take a trip, last April we went to Cebu. Visited a colleague so we can introduce to the what solar energy is and of course, sightseeing and swimming at their place.
First we went to Alcoy for a free seminar on Solar Energy.
Hubby conducting the free seminar and demo of solar energy
After the seminar, we went to Tingko for swimming, the beach is covered in white sand, not that big though but the place is clean and the water too. There is no entrance fee at the beach.

Swimming till almost dark
The next day was bound to Cebu City, but before we left we went to BBB Alcoy (BBB stands for Bodos Bamboo Bar), they had the best pizza there, if you are going to visit Alcoy, try this place, its owned by a foreigner a Dutch I think, the view is nice, the settings too and they have also rooms for accommodation. The price is not bad either, we had our fill and it didn’t broke my wallet lol.

Then to Cebu City. We stayed at Cebu Business Hotel located in downtown Cebu. Place is clean, got a family room and the best part there is free wifi inside the room, I have to work, phew. Their rates are affordable plus we got a discount because it was weekend, yey! Just took the deluxe room, we will be spending most of our time outside anyway so not wise to spend so much on hotel accommodations, what’s important for us is we have a clean bed, clean shower and of course wifi so I can work even on tours hah! :D. Free breakfast for two is included here.

Took some rest so we can go on tour… Our itinerary is just around this place, old churches, fort, park. We covered all these places in just one day.
Basilica Minore Del Sto. Nino, under renovation
Kro’s first time to see lots of vendors in a church place, we dont have that here, his father bought him a balloon.
Magellan’s Cross under renovation also
City Hall
Fort San Pedro
The biggest Church of the Latter Day Saints
Cebu City’s Top View
Entrance here is 60 pesos per head. To get here you will take a motorcycle ride, a block away from the Church of the Latter Day Saints there are many motorcycles and they will offer to take you to this place, round trip fare is 200. Negotiate that they will take you to Taoist Temple after here so you save on fare.

Mini great wall of China 😀
Dinner at Larsians
When in Cebu City, if you love grilled foods, this is a must visit. There are so many to choose from and you eat by hand, the rice is in what is called puso wrapped in coconut leaves.
On our 3rd day it rained half day.. too bad, so we just stayed in the hotel, then went out to buy pasalubong..
Dried fishes at Taboan Market
Mactan International Airport
(much much better than MIA)
And the trip was finally over, for our flight we took Air Asia as they have the lowest fare at that time. Travelling need not be expensive, plan ahead, search for affordable flight fares.
Looking forward to our next trip! 😀
